There are a couple that I would like to have but I do not like the bbl twist rates. --- SAWMAN

6.5 creedmor definitely is not out of the picture yet but for as cheap as these guns are I would be a little surprised if I could use that round to it's full potential. From the other responses and a little research I have done it seems like they would make a good hunting rifle(for the price) but not really a good long range gun which from what I've been told long range is where the 6.5 creedmor really shines. Correct me if I am mistaken as this is just my opinion and I have no first hand experience with the 6.5 creedmor.
I have 2 Creedmoor rifles one a Mossberg Patriot the other a aero AR10. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for anything other than grizzlies. The 7-08 is another fine choice as well. When I bought my Creedmoor that was another option I just decided to go away from that too something different...

I've got a TC Venture in 270 Win and it is excellent, sub MOA groups at 100 yards. I've heard the triggers on the Compass (and newer Ventures) isn't that great but they shoot just fine for hunting out to 400+ yards.
I have a Venture as well, in 25-06. With hand loads I am getting under 1 inch groups at 100 yards.
I only wish there were some better ways to improve the trigger on the Venture. I’ve seen the You tube videos about cutting the trigger spring, and cut a little
From mine but I wish we could get a replacement assembly

Wolfdog; I did a few tests on the stock Venture trigger group, I'm assuming the Compass triggers are similar. The attached box plot shows initial trigger after using for 2 years (blue); stock trigger assembly after cleaning with spray solvent and a light mist of gun oil - no disassembly (orange); current trigger pull after trimming 3/4 turn from spring and reassembly (grey). It is much more consistent now and while not that light, it is OK for me.trigger.jpg
If you're not familiar with box plots, exterior horizontal lines are min/max, bottom edge of box is 1st quartile, horizontal line inside box is median, X is mean (avg), upper box is 3rd quartile.
