Finally an update loaded some flat base 165's at Hornady suggestion. I used IMR 4064 which the gun shoots 150's with and got a 1.4" group at 50 gr. I'm going to try going down. One ladder to 49.5 and see if it tighten's up a little but that would be acceptable none the less.
It turns out the 150's we have been shooting are flat base as well hmm.

I just looked back at the original post. That rifle shoots the 150gr into 1 1/4” groups. So with the 165’s at 1.4”, you are almost there. Glad you got this figured out. Stinking boat tails.

It's interesting too note the load is 50.0 IMR 4064 almost at the bottom of the book as well. We're going to try 49.5 just to see if it tighten's up any..

Update looks like IMR 4064 with 49.5 did the trick with a flat base 165 gr Hornady did the trick,.he pulled the last one 11 o'clock but not bad.
