Cannelures should never be used as a reference for seating depth. It's merely a mechanical bond securing the jacket to the core. Stick with the manufacturers recommendations for seating depth or adjust accordingly to what your rifle prefers.[emoji106]

You're going to get a bunch of different answers on that. I seat 50gr Zmax at 2.250, but that's what my gun likes. Others seat to 2.200. If you have any doubts or something looks off, double check your data.

I don't know what powder you're using, but I'd go with their load data. The Hornady book says 2.090 OAL for their 150gr fmj.

That must be the 10th edition. 9th edition says 2.220”

    Yup, 10th edition
The second edition of Modern reloading is anywhere from 2.140-2.235 depending on the powder.
    What powder are you using?

Pretty sure that's for their IB bullet, which is incorrect anyways.

Hornady published an errata correction to that data: https://press.hornady.com/assets/pct...1522702177.pdf

    Page 382, 300 Whisper/AAC Blackout – 150-155gr C.O.L.’s should read: GMX-1.962”, InterBond-2.210”,SST-2.210”, FMJ-BT-2.090”, Interlock RN-1.900”, InterLock SP & BTSP-2.106”, A-MAX-2.110”
