    Annealing

I have not done any annealing yet, but have been noticing black burn like marking on my case necks. My question is could my necks be getting hard , and not sealing in the chamber? If so would annealing stop this ?

I use a propane torch to anneal mine, I roll the neck and shoulder in the flame till I feel the heat in my fingers then I quit

I have an annealer from Mike's Reloading Bench, good person, company, well made machine and easy to use. Annealing is done to restore the softness of the brass after fired (or worked). Restoring the softness allows the case the ability to seal when fired, it will also lengthen the life of the case. I anneal all my brass after a great day at the range.
