    .243 win. Bullets

Been loading hornady bullets for deer the last couple years, tried a couple different styles. Not liking the way they expand. What other brands are you guys using for hunting with .243 win? Hornady ammo has just been not doing it for me.

    Uncomfortable

I've used 100 Gr Speer BTSP with IMR 4350 powder at around 2900 FPS with good results

They are using the Combined Technology Silvertips.
Made by Nosler and Winchester together.
Grey tip, Molly Coated Black bullet.
Shoot the same IMHO as the Noslers, and less money for the Noslers

With .243 Winchester, I’ve had mixed results on deer, with different bullets. The Nosler ballistic tips I’ve had some work great, some not so great. The hornady SP has given me more good than bad results. Now I just stick with Nosler partitions and barnes ttsx in my 243. Expensive bullets, but I’ve never had (what I consider) a bullet failure with either.

I've been shooting the nosler 100gr partitions but I haven't shot a deer with them yet.

95 grain Hornady SST's will literally liquifie the insides. Small entry hole massive damage internally quarter size exit. Only bullet I use for deer in my .243.

Nosler Partition 95 and 100 grain have killed a lot of deer for me through the years.
