I'd like to add a micrometer type seater to my Dillon 550B. I really like the RCBS die with loading window. Is the Redding or Forster better? Thanks

Both companies make good quality dies that work good. I have and use both companies dies for different calibers. I bought them depending on availability at the time I needed them.
I don’t think you can go wrong with either dies.
Ive used all three brands and they are all good. With the rcbs one you have to use a special shell holder with it (unless they have changed since I bought mine). The Forster and Redding work with standard shell holders. I like the spring tensioned case guide on the Redding and Forster dies. Check about the shell holder on the rcbs die before you buy, that could be a deal breaker with your Dillon press.

Ya I thought the bullet window on the RCBS would be nice especially using a progressive press.
What caliber are you wanting that seating die for?

308 to start with using a Dillon 550B
I also suggest that you buy and always use a loaded ammo (bullet) concentricity gauge.
Between that and a good set of well maintained dies (and press),I have never found the need for the micrometer type seater.
Knowing your bullets run out can sometimes solve alot of accuracy and pressure problems. --- SAWMAN

I use the micrometer dies on rifles that I m trying to squeeze accuracy out of. I like them for easy adjustment of seating depths.

I use the Hornady comparator gauge and Dillon dies
