Sorry to bother you again, but I have 125gr Speer gold dots will blue dot work for them or should I use Longshot or power pistol? What data range should I use for them as well?

Both work very well. The AA#9 does well too. However, do not go on Speer's data for the AA#9 because it lists max as 14.6 grains. There is no way in hell you can fit 14.6 grains and seat the bullet. 14.6 would nearly overflow the case and compression would be out of this world. The load data for the Power Pistol was hard to find since Alliant only lists that powder with 147 grain projectiles. Here is a link with lots of info on the .357 SIG and lists Power Pistol for the 124/125 grain stuff. These are max loads listed and should start low and work up.

    http://www.reloadammo.com/357sig.htm

Hodgdon's website lists Longshot for the 124/125 grain stuff as follows:

    8.3 - 9.3 grains
    OAL of 1.135"

    Hope that helps.

Thanks. So no blue dot? Trying to figure what is going to work best. I have Longshot should I go with that for the data you provided?

Ah I overlooked Blue Dot. I've never used it before. Alliant lists Blue Dot at 11.0 grains as max and OAL of 1.135". I'm sure it will do good too. The data I listed from Hodgdon was right off their site for Longshot powder.

OK thanks again. I'll give both a shot.

Ramshot Silhouette and Hodgdon HS-6 work well for this caliber also, if you have any of those...

Are you using the Lee auto drum by chance. If I use it it over flares the case. Now if I don't use it I can set the flare as needed. Seems like the tension from the spring in the auto drum over flares it. Never has issues like this using the auto drum in any other pistol cartridges. Any ideas?
