    C.O.L. Different from Manuel

I am loading some 150 gr. Hornady FMJ-BT’s into 300 BO’s and my final c.o.l. Is different then what the manual calls for. Hornady says it should be 2.220, but I am coming up with 1.065. You can see from the picture that the bullet is seated where it should be. What does everyone think?

I think that should read 2.065?
Most people load to the cannelure, but it is not necessary
Handcannon (John Quirk) can interject here too.
He is the 150gr king in 300blk

Happens buddy. Seat to the cannelure if you like, as long as you aren't at MAX powder charge on those

And by the way that channelure is for 308 not 300blk..... You have a much larger case with a greater case capacity.... by seating that bullet that deep you are decreasing case capacity and increasing pressure..... the 300blk case has a small case capacity and getting smaller when seating the bullet that deep

Which manual is that? They had errors in some and have published corrections which included this bullet & cartridge:

    Mine are seated around 2.09-2.10
