I recently traded some powder coating for some cast lead 44 bullets. The bullets weigh out at 211 gr. and i dont know if i should use data for 200 gr or 220 gr or shoot somewhere in between. any suggestions would be appreciated. These are just for plinking with 44spl or 44mag. thanks
Load with 220gr data if you have it. Always ok to use heavier bullet data with a lighter bullet

As with all loads, start low and work up for your specific gun
I cannot find data in my books for the 215. All of these bullets are just for punching paper. I am guessing somewhere in the 5-7 grains of Unique. I use 7.0 under my 240 lswc.

Lighter bullets usually use a bit more powder, so I would say even your 240gr load would work for a starting point.
remember that going too low can be as bad as going over on the powder charge
That is true. Stuck bullet in the barrel is no good.

It can actually explode with a light powder charge, worse than an overcharge
The powder gets 'Flash Over" and ignites way too fast, causing a pressure spike.
I have never heard that before. Maybe I need to start at 7-8 grains then.

I would say 6 would be a safe starting spot in a 44mag
