Looking for a load with h110 powder and 300 gr hornady hp looking around 34 grain charge weight anyone have any input? 16 inch bca upper!
I have a load that I developed from data that I found on the internet that I use with Remington 300 Grain HP. i think it would work with the Hornady 300 HP. I am going to try them next. The overall length will need to be adjusted for the difference in bullet length.
33.5 Grains H110
CCI 350 LPM Primers
2.020 COAL
1786 FPS through the Chrono at 15 feet.
2117.75 foot pounds of energy
543.25 Power Factor
Currently reloading for .380 ACP, 9MM,327 Federal Mag, 38 Special, .357 Mag, 40 S&W, 44 Mag, 45 ACP, .458 Socom, .223 Remington, 22-250,7MM Remington Mag, 30-06 and 340 Weatherby Mag, 50 Beowolf
Just looked at the Lee Book. It says for the 300 Grain Jackets bullet the COAL should be 2.015. I seated one of the Hornady 300 HP until I just hit the Crimp Groove. Looks like 2.025 would be a max length if you want to crimp in the groove.
