You might try looking into the hornady eld-x. Supposed to be superbly accurate and good on game too. I’ve never shot any but was thinking of trying some out of my 308.

I’ve tried the eld-x in my 308 but she doesn’t care for them. May need to try some different powders. She will shoot lasers with 168gr HPBT bullets loaded up with some vargetOriginally Posted by JeffreyDeGraff

Mine will shoot sub 1/2” groups at 200yards with that combo. Been shooting that load for so many years I was thinking of trying something different. My barrel is a 1/10” twist, was thinking the 200gr eld-x might be fun.

I’ve only tried the 178gr ELD-X. Let us know how the 200’s work for you if you end up loading some! May have to give it a shot

I just ordered some of the 200gr eld-x hopefully I will get to do some load development width them in the next couple months. With 3 kids in football, very little time for anything. When I do get around to it, I will start a thread about the load development.
