That's solid looking. It looks like the track is the standard 3/8" deep. Is the base two pieces of three-quarters? I'm thinking a single piece of three-quarters would suffice.

The track is Rockler T track. The base is two pieces of 3/4 plywood glued together that I had leftover from another project. I used a flat 2X12 cut square for the base for my vice. the 2x12 works just as good as the plywood and was easier since I didn't have to glue two pieces of plywood together. You can see the base for the vice on the shelf below the table behind the plastic containers on the right.Originally Posted by Steve Lonie
The Rockler T track is what I'm going to use. That takes 1/4" and 5/16" bolts? I haven't any plans for storing the press/wood bases yet. I'm putting the plan together now so when I get to Florida I can get right to it.
