    458 socom

need some help with 458 socom. I'm loading with IMR 4227, only powder I have at the moment. bullet is 300gr X-TREME.cant find an accurate load. looking for other powders, and wondering if I might be pushing this bullet to hard. currently at 33.6gr of IMR-4227. book shows 34gr is max. just guessing about 1700 fps.

Should be ok, but for a target load, try backing the powder down a bit

I use rl2400. It’s been the most accurate and cleanest I’ve tried I run 29.5gr with the 300gr round nose josler
