I flew a helicopter in Alaska with the fish and game darting interior grizzly north of the Alaska range. I hunted them on the tanana flats and if there is any advise that should be given is that they are very fast and very quiet, I had them as close as 20 yards without knowing they were there until I spotted them. Smell is another thing. They know you are there long before you see them and IF there is a food source they have near (rotting smeat) stay away from it, sit down and wait.

So bear season has ended for me this year had a blast going to go again next year

No I passed on all that I saw was waiting trying to get close enough for the big boy in daylight he only came out at 11pm

I did. And found a spot for next year that’s no quota so tag is guaranteed. I used this year as a big learning year
