    44 mag xtream plated loads

I’m having trouble deciding on a load to try for my Ruger super Blackhawk. I have win 296 powder I was thinking of using but I’m not sure if it would be too hot for the plated bullets? My jacketed hollow point load is 24 gr of the 296 so I’d prefer to stick to that powder. Anyone have experience with plated and 296?

I have no experience with then in .44 mag or with the powder, but a good rule of thimb for X-Treme bullets is to start with the data for a lead bullet.

Be careful.....296/110 are magnum powders. Dont want to push it too fast. I use 23.6 grains of H110 for my jacketed and reserve my plated/cast to HP38/W231 at slower speeds. 296/110 tended to lead and be very un-accurate when pushing plated bullets at magnum speeds.

I use the Xtremes for mid loads in my 44 mags and full on 44 special. HP/W231 in 44 mag and universal in 44 special.

I ran them to 1600+ with no problems ever. 1750 may be a bit stiff
