Winchester are good primers. I've used CCI for about 51 years. I'm slowly switching to Win & Fed. As for thick cups. The cups are thicker on mag primers.

This is pistol not rifle but it may be the same in those as well. I bought some Winchester small pistol and discovered they don't feed as well in the Lee hand or bench primer units that use the triangular feed trays. I have always used CCI until I ran into a special on Winchesters. I checked on here and comments indicated no differences. However the Winchester primers don't slide down the throat without constantly tapping the tray. I have also had several go into the primer hole sideways. Problems I never had with CCI. I have tried two Lee trays and the issue is the same.
    Anyone else experience this problem?

I've always used winchester primers for everything. Never had any problems at all.
