Haven’t tried the nu-finish i use a glob of mother’s mag wheel polish and that works great to and it seems to last a couple batches before I have to add more

I use a bit of Maguire's Ultimate polishing compound. Had a good batch of coursely ground cob that worked wonders until I dumped a tumbler full of walnut and jewelers rouge in on top of it,
