    Working on 10mm.

Got a bunch of these 165gr gold dots in. I generally shoot 180-200gr. But wanted to play with these.
I grabbed a couple pounds of longshot to see if I can push velocity up compared to my aa9 loads with 180gr hst bullets.
I found load info that calls for about 1400fps from factory pulldown loads.
the 9.5gr shoots great and is about 1360fps. I don’t see any reason to try to push it further.

    I load the 180s with aa9. I get 1260-1280fps.
these were shot at 15yds standing through my chrony.
im wanting to say the 8.5gr with the 180 was like 1180ish. Just a couple I threw together to see how it did.

That makes me feel pretty good about my 2.5" XD40 .

I wish it was 4" I could get 1000 fps MV.
I used Unique with cast .

Longshot should be able to push it faster. But I wanted the speed and accuracy. No good with 5” groups at 20yds you know.

Free hand , kind of an upright Weaver stance, I was shooting 3" at 25 yd . For a compact type pistol with a floating barrel ,bone factory stock , self defense type auto I was satisfied as I had improved on factory groups with 2 factory loads . The 40 might be a field companion but never a primary tool , that's why I have the Ruger in 45 Colts . A long slide 10 mm still calls to me a little.

I’ve got a 44 magnum also. But the idea of 20 rounds of 200gr ammo running 1300fps is nice. And I shoot this one well. I’m gonna get some hard cast to play with next. My current 200s are the Nosler ASP

Hard cast is a marketing term . There's 10 ways to get a bhn number and 8 very different results. Fit stops fouling .

I'll be watching the progress .
