For some reason I can’t get back into the other 338-06 thread since my last post, so I am just starting another one. I’ve successfully found a load for the 200gr ballistic silvertip and big game powder. It’s not moving too fast, 2740fps, but is very accurate.

Next up are the Speer 200gr HotCor and Winchester staball 6.5. This powder is supposed to give some good velocities in the 338-06

I was able to get up to 2950fps with WinchesterStaball 6.5 and the 200gr hotcor, without any pressure signs. Next time out I’ll shoot some groups and see what kind of accuracy I get.
