Say hello to my new ghoul friend

Rebuilt my 22-250 and finally got a chance to take her out today. Once I got her zeroed for 300 yards I must have done something wrong cause I was getting first round hits from 300 all the way out to 1000 yards with zero previous data, to say I'm pleased would be a huge understatement. I looked in the manual and went I think I will use... this one. Now to start putting together heavy weight dedicated long range rounds.
    Savage model 11 22-250
26in McGowen barrel number 7 profile
    1:7 twist
Athlon Argos 6-24x50 30mm tube ffp
    Oryx chassis
    EGW rings and 20MOA base
Stock trigger for now, planning on putting a rifle basix trigger in it

Thank you, I was expecting to have to work harder than I did to get on target

That’s pretty amazing that you just picked a random load out of the manual and it shot that well. I feel like a lottery ticket is in order now.

Well...I suck at gambling so I probably won't get a lottery ticket

I’m the same way. I wouldn’t get one either, I never win anything.

!:7, that's a pretty tight twist for that. I was wondering why the heavy bullets. Makes sense now.

Went to the range Thursday, the 80gr ELD's and 80.5gr Berger show potential, didn't like the 77 & 80gr RDF's however my best performer was my break in load, 73gr ELD and H380 powder gave me a .700 5 shot group. Going to load some more to make sure that wasn't a fluke. Will post pictures later today.
