Question What powder for 270 win/130 gr bullet???

I am getting ready to load some .270 Winchester Remington, I have 130 grain bullets but have no idea what powder to use. Can someone recommend a powder to use? I have mostly loaded Handgun loads and a friend has the dies I can use. The rifle is a Remington Model 4, semi Auto that will be used for California Deer. I just need info. I am thinking about using Varget, is that a good choice?

I am also going to reload some .308 Remington brass with 150 grain bullets, the rifle is a Remington 788 bolt action.
I am also going to reload some .30-30 brass also with 130 grain bullets. The rifle is a Winchester Model 94 (TRAPPER) Lever action.
Is there a powder that will work to reload all three of the above cartridges? Thanks for the information!!!

    Varget would work with 270 , 308 , and 30-30.

Varget is really good in 308 and 30-30, but is not ideal in 270. The 270 is at its best with slower burning powders such as 4350 and 4831.

Varget will work it seems to be a pretty broad application powder suitable for small cases in small caliber in to heavy for cartridge type like 70 gr 223 and on up to straight and nearly strait cases like 30-30 and 45-70 . It's not optimum in them all but it's pretty good looking at data .

    For 30-30 , 06' , 280 Rem , 7×57 , and 308 I use IMR 4350 although H4350 would probably yield equally good results . My Dad liked H4831 in his 25-06' , I am pleased with H1000 in a 264 WM and will try it eventually in Dad's 25-06' .

IMR 4831 has produced the best results with a 130gr bullet for me in the 270 through the years (decades, lol)

I’m in the same boat. IMR 4831 has given me the best results in 270 Winchester with 130gr bullets.

4350 and Slower for 270 Winchester. I suggest thinking of a more appropriate power rather than what I got. That goes 24/7 with me.
