I have a piece of lake city brass and on the rim is marked 10-2010 and it also has a + or maybe an x inside a circle, what does this mean? Anybody know what the + or x inside the circle mean? Thanks.

If it is a nato mark does that mean it is 5.56mm?
So both lake city .223 rem and 5.56mm nato have the same mark? How do you tell if the casing is 223 or 5.56mm/
223 and 5.56 brass are one in the same. The plus sign in the circle denotes NATO.

There is a new case out there, that says LC .223 Rem. That is NOT Lake City. Looks like it is Hungarian made ammunition.
LC with a date, dots, and the nato cross on it is True Lake City Brass.
As Ammo it id 5.56, as a brass case, it is just all .223 Rem
Just wanted to say Thank you to all who told me about lake city, I was under the impression that .223 Rem and 5.56mm Nato had different cases, I have been schooled, now I know. Thanks All for the free schooling.
