500 Automax Hornady taper crimp die - boy am I out of practice;-)

a new wrinkle if you will: I tried another loaded case and it seems that the RCBS sizing die is making the case mouth too wide for the Hornady taper crimp die - I can't bring the ram fully up into the taper crimp die with it threaded down in the turret. I filled out the email form on the RCBS site.

And....I checked the outer diameter of the expanded brass - it is 9/16". I also reached out to Hornady support, we'll see what they have to say but I believe it to be the case that the products just aren't compatible. And there just aren't a lot of options right now for 500 S&W Magnum taper crimp dies.
