Very sad day today.
I filled the old square "U press it" can up with what is the last fill out of the 1968 12# keg of Dad's Unique when the can filled to the neck I poured the rest of what I could get out of the big can into the measure . There should be plenty there to finish out the 600 45 Auto Rim. There's maybe another 3-4 oz in the little steel drum . I'll have to fashion a tube like dust pan to get the last of it out .
I'll have to make a genuine effort now to use up that 10# of Grandpa's 1969 Red Dot in the same type of can before Arkansas eats the can .
10 pounds of red dot will take a lot of shooting to use up. Time to do some shooting.

Probably longer than the Unique ......
Agreed. I love red dot in 45acp. But 10lbs is a lot of 45’s. You could also use it for cast plinking loads in your rifles.

It was everything Unique is claimed in 9mm . I haven't even looked at data for Red Dot in 15 years. 38/357 ,9mm , even 40 there's 1200 -2000/# . I'd load 12ga but it's 500/# in them and more 12 ga light game and trap loads is the last thing I need .
I shot up the last of my 7.5x55 ammo I had loaded up, so I was able to deprime, clean, and anneal all of my PPU brass. In the next few days I’m going to get it fully prepped and start working on a new load with a bullet other than the ELD-X.

45 AR.
454424 HP , H&G #130 , factory 230 FMJ ..... The 1917 doesn't care for the 454424 round groove at 257 gr I'm hoping the 11 gr HP will warm up the relationship . The 130# is supposed to be a 185 but mine casts 8 at a time a196 gr . It does shoot these and the RCBS 45-200 well .

That 454424 bullet looks awesome in the 45AR case.

Put together my next 7mm Bench Rest load. 140gr ppu over H335. My last test load will be with 130gr hot cor.
