A while back I needed a semi secure storage and emptied an ammo can of 12 ga odds and ends . I picked up a tote and cleared out a couple of shelves ..... Inheritance and my own stash , no need to sweat 209s for 12ga 4 cases of 2-3/4 lead and 3 more in steel and 9 boxes of 3" .
I was thinking I'd have to start shopping for 209s but I "discovered" I'd buried Dad's leftovers , 3000+ . I guess I'll use the 209A Fed in 410 and the HyScores in 16 ga .
As a little bonus I found 500 FC spp also .
That, my friend is a significant discovery. Use them well, lol.

I have a new ProChrono chronograph to try out. Efforts to get a Caldwell going went no place. It took five minutes to get this machine connected to the phone.
I had made a run of 8mm Mauser for a Husqvarna sporter. These will be the first handloads for this rifle. I used 175gr. Sierra spitzers and PPU brass. The charge was a minimum of SW4350. Some 270's rounds were loaded up for the 700 Mountain Rifle. I was using 51 and 52 grs. of SW4350. The bullets 140gr Hornady SST's. The local mall ninja store had maybe a hundred boxes. Anyway, the plan is to take these rifles, rounds and chronograph to the range this weekend.
Let us know how they do. My 8x57 loves those 175 sierras with 4064.

Finally finally finished that 30-06 brass, at 25 a day, it took the whole week last week. Now I’m started on 7x57. Ive got three batches I’m working on, FC, RP, and mixed PPU S&B and Hornady. These are all range brass and shoulder measurements are all over the place. My 7x57 is borderline excessive headspace, so I’m sizing this brass to where it chambers but is not a true FL size. I’m thinking about necking it up and then back down in order to form a false shoulder, and fireform like you do with a wildcat. I may try 5 at first and see how they do.
I took my 12 year old and his friend and dad to the range last weekend and let them all have some fun, now I’m out of my 9mm, 45 Colt , and 357 levergun plinking ammo. Now I’ve got an excuse to fire up my new lee classic turret press. I’m excited for that.

I coined that just now .
It goes with the .270 dia 6.5 and the .318 7.7 and 7.62 .
An AI makes the case bigger , so does stretching the body ......
Mildcat fits too , I have a deliberate .007 neck up I use standard dies with the crimp step removed from the seater .
Out of all my 7x57 brass, the Hornady is the shortest at the shoulder. There are only 7 pieces, so I figured it would be the perfect starting point. I necked them up to 30 caliber, the started sizing them down to 7mm. After every small adjustment I checked for fit in the rifle. I finally got it to where there was some resistance closing the bolt but was not tight or hard to close. I’m hoping that after annealing and forming the false shoulder, I’ll be in business.
