Pulled a scope off my .338-06 as the scope wasn’t level and it’s been bothering me. Since I had the rifle out of commission I decided I’d also pull the action from the stock to clean the dust out. When I did that, I found a couple cracks in the stock splitting apart my bedding job and doing at least 1/2” deep in a couple places. I’m less than pleased. I’ll be on the phone with the manufacturer tomorrow at some point. It’s always something. Just when I was feeling that I had this rifle squared away, this happens. Hope everyone had a better weekend than I did.

The one in the picture can be seen just left of the action bolt hole going the full length of that bedded portion of the. It’s a thin, but straight crack. Not that I want to monkey around with it myself but if the manufacturer won’t do anything for me, I’ll at least try and fix it. Might be a hack job, but I think I can fix it. [emoji1696][emoji1696]

Put together a 30-30 test load last night. 150gr PPU bullet and IMR 3031. I hope to test it this weekend.

Another 30-30 test load. 165gr Hunters Supply cast and Unique. I have owned my 30-30 for a long time and just started loading for it. It is a lot of fun.
