My 15 year old stepson got his first deer this year. He’s shooting a mossberg patriot in 243 with federal fusion ammo. After hunting season I’m going to set him up at the bench and start having him load and test some rounds.

2019 Antelope.jpg
2019 SD antelope. Scored just under 75" due to good mass. Edit: not sure why the picture loaded sideways. Tried a couple different saved pics and they all did the same.

She was about 220 to 225 yards. Broke both front shoulders and she dropped in her tracks. The one pic is the exit wound. 7mm Mag 160 grain Barnes TSX bullets and brass from Wes. This sis the first big game that I have taken with this rifle and first big game that I have taken in about 15 years. It was about 19-20 degrees when the shot was fired.
Currently reloading for .380 ACP, 9MM,327 Federal Mag, 38 Special, .357 Mag, 40 S&W, 44 Mag, 45 ACP, .458 Socom, .223 Remington, 22-250,7MM Remington Mag, 30-06 and 340 Weatherby Mag, 50 Beowolf
Had a successful hunting trip to Montana. Son in law and I had doe tags and his dad had doe and buck tags and we were given a nice size mule buck to split between me and the son in law.
Used 7mm 140 grain Accubond at 3205fps. It was a bit more than I needed down there since the son in law was shooting a 300 black out and did fine and the longest shot was around maybe 80 to 100yds.
