Reloading manuals are usually divided into three categories for the 45-70Govt. 1.Trapdoor 2. Marlin1895 lever action,and 3. RUGER #1.

Sawman, did you forget to list the Winchester 1886 ?
I have a Perdoselli Winchester 1886/71
.45-70 and while I have no intention of making it a .458 Winchester Magnum, it is rated as a very strong action. It is also chambered in the .45-90.
