    New LC nickel from Wes

Here's my results using corncob and Nu Finish tumbling overnight.
Batch two is in the tumbler now with crushed walnut and Nu Finish. Will post those results as well.

    Nickel is soooo pretty.

I bought some nickel pistol calibur brass from Wes so I could could tell which brass was for my wife’s Ruger revolver verse my other firearms. Easier to sort for reloading.

Did you size and trim before tumbling or after and would it make a difference?

I always tumble after sizing and trimming. I tumbled this stuff first to see what kind of results I could get.

Thanks Cody. Figured if I tumbled then sized I would want to dry tumble agin after lubing and loading. Wet tumble after sizing should take that extra step out I think 😀

I'm tumbling mine in crushed walnut shells with Cabelas polish. I've been pulling some cases every hour to evaluate progression; up to six hours now. It does get shinier but the fine orange peel texture doesn't really improve. Comparing to new Speer Lawman LE factory ammo, the surface finish is significantly more textured though as I sad its pretty fine. That said, the as delivered finish is adequate to load and shoot in my opinion. What other dry tumbling approaches have you found success with?

Wish I could see a closeup of your results, Cody.

I'm pulling 20 or so at six hours to load tonight and shoot tomorrow.

It's got a bit of a rough texture, the walnut cleans well and the corncob polishes better. I have a batch in walnut now using a different polish (Meguires) that's a more aggressive polish. Curious to see the results.
