We are deeply steeped in our history and traditions as Marines. From Presley Obannon to Smedley Butler to John Basilone to Chesty Puller to Carlos Hathcock to the most recent boot camp graduates, we are one family of brothers and sisters. We all volunteered to offer ourselves as a sacrifice to keep peace worldwide and defend our great nation from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
I tip my hat to all of you and your loved ones who have and continue to serve in the fiercest fighting force the world has ever known, the United States Marine Corps!
