    Lee powder measure

I'm using the lee powder measure to load my .223 and .308 rounds. My question I am loading imr 4064 and I notice that a few grains always splash out of the pan as I'm dropping the powder from the dispenser. Is it normal and is there a way that it can be stopped or even lessened??

I always drop directly into a case, then if I want to weigh the charge I slowly pour powder into the pan. I am not familiar with any of the Lee powder measures but I believe they are intended to drop into a case.

Put the bottom of the pan directly under the spout (or whatever it’s called) ... run the lever... after it’s filled you can slowly move the pan down and let the powder flow in ... have to do that with my RCBS throw... especially with Varget or it bounces all over the place.

I agree with TJB. Best way for me not to lose any powder and I can keep it consistent. I love my Lee PPM. Extremely consistent and loves Varget. Not a fan of finer powders like Ramshot silhouette and occasionally H335
