Can someone explain the pros and cons to using this die? I've never thought about one until someone mentioned it on wes's site. Now I'm thinking it could help. Is Lee the only company that makes a factory crimp die?

It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're running with turkeys.
Yes, Lee is the only company that makes a factory crimp die. There are 2 different types, one for straight wall handgun and another for rifle. The rifle type works very well. The handgun type uses a carbide ring to post sizes the case. Some find the ring troublesome because it will resize a cast bullet inside the case.
Big Eddy
Not big and tall but big and round
Will 1 crimp die do 30-06 and 308 or do I have to buy for every caliber?
i only do pistol have the 4 die set for each caliber. makes life a lot easier.
I use them on everything I load.
Makes sure the pistol rounds will all chamber and the rifle die will not buckle the shoulder on your rifle cases
There needs to be a "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" on here too stupid if we agree or disagree with posts.
I agree with Wes.
