It sounds like the brass is springing back after sizing. I would try sizing once then turning brass 90 degrees and sizing again. It my not help at all but that is what I would try.

Ok fellas. My dad had a set of RCBS dies. I just tried them. They work. The brass slides right in the gauge and finally fit my chamber.
The Hornady Custom Grade resizing die just didn’t work for me in my Rockchucker.
Problem solved.
