    My new to me 44 Redhawk want some load advice

    7 inch barrel .
    240 plated bullets data ?
    Can't decide if I want to get a mold for it favorite bullet type and weight ?

    I am a gluten for recoil ....

    Best to run mid to low jacketed data with plated bullets. If you want recoil then get some 300gr jacketed or hard cast gas checked bullets and use a healthy dose of w296 or h110. Both are great powders in the 44 with magnum loads.

    I agree 100 %.
    Also a healthy dose of 2400 will do the job.

    I mostly run 44 Special through my 44s anymore. When I do load mag. loads I use Unique or Elmer Kieths 2400. I do not use his original powder charge with 2400 though.

    I’ve gotten away from shooting specials out of my 357 and 44’s. These days I just load light loads in magnum brass at special performance levels. The cylinders stay cleaner this way, and only have one type of brass to deal with.
