    Dull Brass

I have some brass that has lost it's shine.
It has already had the primers installed.
Is there a media that I can use to restore the shine that will not fit into the neck of the round (223)?
I have thought about taking a sponge and cutting it up and putting some chemical on it and putting it in my tumbler.
    Thoughts?

As long as it is not dirty and just dull, load it and shoot it. Shiny brass doesn’t shoot any better than dull brass. If it bothers you that much you could lightly use some fine steal wool to shine it up. You must be careful about chemicals that contain ammonia, it will weaken brass.

I agree, load em up and shoot em. Then worry about the shine.

Load them and then tumble in corncob if being shinny is important. Honestly it’s up to you but I’d load and shoot. You can clean after to shine them up for the next firing

I had some primed .30-06 and .45-70 brass that was dull and since I had a lot of time I put foam earplugs in the case mouth and threw them in the tumbler with corncob media.
