    Squibs

Need help. Been getting squib loads can’t figure out why. I’m working with a rcbs rockchucker single stage press. Using xtreme 124 grain bullet. Bullseye powder(4.2grain) Been told there was no powder also because the way the bullet looked I was told it was moisture. Burned dirty. I got pics of the bullet is there a way to upload photos

Are you using loading trays/blocks and visually confirming each case has been charged prior to bullet seating?

I've seen .1gns to be enough to cause one.

I always start my loads in the mid range to be safe against low powder charges just in case you powder thrower drops a .1 -.3 low charge

Just to add something to Andy's input. I think of what gun I will be shooting it in. A plastic gun will take less powder to cycle than say an all metal Sig normally. If I am loading for poly gun I will start lower than for a Sig 220 for example.

Also, is there leftover powder or excess residue? Do you tumble brass and w what media? Could your flash hole be plugged with media?
