Sticking out is no good. You want them slightly recessed.

Agree, the only time I had them sticking out was when a couple military crimp brass snuck in my pile....

I have a steel 6" rule (straight edge) on my bench. I lay it across the top of my primed brass. If it rocks . . . no good, and I seat a little deeper. --- SAWMAN

Brass is fully processed with crimp removed from Sage . Using CCI small rifle primers. No adjustment on Hornady press for depth. Just barely catch finger nail on primers . Mahalo for replies all.
