Case trimming

Was wondering about getting a case prep center to prep rifle cases. Going to be primary using it for .223 and 308. Can someone point me in a direction that will do everything on a budget?? Thanks

I've been eyeballing the frankford arsenal platinum. Will chamber, debut, and trim. 3 different steps...but all right there at the same time. Usually around 160ish

No..just have to set it each time you switch calibers. I dont own one yet, but have watched some YouTube vids about it.

I would personally get the Lyman case prep tool. It has five stations covering primer pocket cleaner, uniform tool, crimp removal tool, chamfer and deburing. It doesn't have a provision to trim like the Frankford Arsenal one unfortunately. I also leaned towards that model originally for that reason. However Lyman makes a affordable kit called the Eze trim which I use in conjunction with case prep when necessary. As shown in picture I have a station setup for primer pocket deburing instead of case mouth deburing. I do that with a hand tools when necessary because I prefer not to take much material from the case mouth. The Lyman also comes in a bit cheaper than the Frankford. It is well built and has a STRONG gear box.

I have the FA love it. The lyman does not have a case trimmer you need to use the lee case trimmer spindles which are not adustable

I agree with Travis. I also have the Lyman and it's a nice quiet machine. Lee sells a threaded cutting head (Product Code: 90468) for about 8 bucks that goes in one of the stations and I just put the Lee case length gauge I need in that for trimming. Makes for a quick painless prep session.

Now theres an idea. I would just need a case lenght gauge for 308 and 223
