If I get one it will be the 7" version. 4" might as well get a handgun. The longer carbine version likely has a minimal gain in muzzle velocity over the 7" since the 9mm is a handgun round.

Exactly why I went with the evo instead of the micro

Hell yeah 7” for sure. That was going to be my barrel length if I built the AR9. It was gonna be a side charger and take MP5 mags. Maybe one of these days

I may still try to build one. Played with the idea of doing 10mm.

tabascoman, I've got to say that your Scorpion is a sweet looking firearm. I ordered the FDE as well with the 7" barrel and I can't wait to try it out.

I love the scorpion. Almost more than my 45. If cz would make a 45acp scorpion I’d be in trouble...again lol

If you shoot factory ammo that is true. If you reload you can take advantage of the longer barrel for more gains. I honestly haven't myself, but IME you definitely could. That being said if you are going to suppress it then you wouldn't bother. One other aspect is feel for training. The carbine is a cheap way to train with a rifle. But, if you add a suppressor to a pistol and a good brace it will handle like a rifle also.
