New to this. When manuals give the specs on loads they give the primer they used. Can any primer be used in its place as long as it’s the proper size and gun type?

Yes I use CCI primers for everything regardless of what they tested their loads with and have never had an issueOriginally Posted by BLmidgette

I use CCI, Win, and Rem 5 1/2 interchangeably. Although some manuals state not to. I think they are just CYA.
