I think I'm onto something with what I'm reloading. 22-250, 52 gr hpbt over 32 gr IMR 4064. Oal is at 1.938 and I'm playing with seating depth now.

Maybe .1gr of powder, either up or down also.
May I please ask . . . which gun is this ?? --- SAWMAN
Why just dance when you can "rock and roll".

I use to load 36gr of IMR3031. It was a tack driver. I was working out a load with Varget and decided to sell my rifle.

That is a 10 twist gun I do believe. Would suggest that you take a look at your reloading books and see what twist rate their test gun had. Normal would be 1:14. Just don't load too hot.
Possibly dropping off a couple tenths of a grain will bring the group down in size. --- SAWMAN

Yes it is a 10 twist gun. I started at 32 gr and went up in .3 gr increments. I'll see what the next grouping looks like and go from there. The nosler book has 30.5 gr as the most accurate load for IMR 4064 so might have to look at going down in powder charge.

Wondering also . . . the accuracy potential with the heavy/long bullets given the speed and twist rate. Maybe a 69gr SMK.
Just might have to rethink getting a Ruger Predator chambered in 6Creedmoor,for a gun like yours. I just love a fast twist . . . ANYTHING. --- SAWMAN
