I definitely understand that. I wonder what type of crimp the standard die utilizes. Whatever the type crimp it does, should be adequate, as long as it is done properly. I’ve never had a bullet set back in any of my lever guns, but my crimps are always on the heavy side. From what I understand about the cowboy dies is that they size the neck differently to accommodate lead bullets ( I could be wrong here, it has been ages since I’ve read up on this)Originally Posted by SGTREED
