I was always under the assumption that cowboy dies were the way to go if loading cast bullets, and to use the regular dies if you are going to shoot jacketed.

Opting for cowboy for the roll crimp with the lever action got a buddy who blew up his 30-30 on last round from tube bullet seated deeper with recoil and action so just trying a safe route
