I have 3031 and Varget, but I use the Varget so 3031 it will be. Going to load 170 Sierra, with 27.5 gr 3031. Mid speer book which goes from 25.5 to 29.5 to pick up less than 300 fps. Probably just throw them with the 550 once dialed in. We have 4 30-30s and only looking for minute of coke can at 75. Should be fun. Life time of brass and 250 pulled bullets bought at a gun show years ago in anticipation of today
I enjoy loading for and shooting my 30-30 rifle. Mine is just an old "Glenfield" by Marlin, and it shoots so nicely. A joy to carry & shoot. I've even taken to handloading some 150 gr cast bullets over a modest charge of Unique for a very soft-shooting fun load at the range.
