Has anyone taken aluminum or steel cases to the scrap yard and gotten any money for them? Was thinking about picking them up at the range to take them for so pocket change.

Steel prices are rock bottom right now. It would take an awful lot before you’d get any amount of money for penny candy ;-)
I would tend to say the same for aluminum cases, but the price of aluminum is markedly higher then steel. In the end, still not worth it, in my book.
What is more important is the optics of clean ranges. A clean shooting range free of trigger trash and spent cases make for good PR. That’s worth quite a bit of money.

Yea I completely agree that a clean range is always worth it. I just figure if I'm going to go through picking it up that it may be worth something.
