So I picked up some old M2 AP projectiles at a show recently, but I am having a bear of a time finding any load data for them. Anyone have any experience loading them into a 308 with Either BLC-2 or Varget?

165gr
I know when I played around with the SS109's (62gr) for .223 it was recommend to use 68-69gr load data due to the bullet length.
I googled M2 AP and a couple of articles came up on using them in .308. I would look for a bullet thats as close to the same length which will most likely be a heavier grain bullet and start there. I'm sure someone here (probably Wes) has experience with these.

Here's this I found. Looks like M1 .308 load data for a heavier bullet will work.

Also you better check them with a micrometer. Some of the old projectiles from the military were .311.

Here's load data from the Hornady book for the M1.

I ave a copy of quickload on my pc, I have already run the various powder calculations for the powders I have with that particular projectile so I know what the calculated data says, I specifically asked if anyone had experience with those two powders because the data only goes so far and at 1-2$ a projectile loading a bunch of test loads is not economical
