For now I’ll just be at about 100yds indoors testing. Nothing too crazy but I don’t max out my scopes at the range either. I zoom in to see groups or a shift in impact with different bullet weights, powders, and charges. Saves me time having to push the button to retrieve my target and push it again to send it back to 100. Especially on busy days when I have a max of an hour on a lane. I’d like to see the Yeti’s capability before trying to hunt with it even though they claim it has the ability within 300yds max. I’ll be doing a lot of testing with the 200gr FTX and if I can get any 180gr Speer hotcore bullets

I have questions with coments:

How far will you be shooting? For example, In New Yuck State, the average deer is taken at 35 yards so a scope that's good out to 500 yards is not going to be a good investment but a good 2X6 30mm or 40 mm scope would be. However, if you're shooting at LONG ranges, a 2X18 (or 24) 40mm scope would be a good investment.

Is it for target shooting or hunting? Again, if you're hunting the average range that you'll be shooting game dictates the scope as does the size of the range where your matches ware held (and how far they shoot at those matches).

Member Holland had the best advice: go to a store where you can actually look through a scope. Field & Stream/Dicks, Gander Mountain, Bass Pro/Cabela's, local firearms shop. Price should not be a deciding factor but budget will be. I'd love to have a Leupold VX-6 scope ( https://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold...cds-scope.html ) or a Zeiss Victory ( https://www.opticsplanet.com/zeiss-v...flescopes.html ) but that ain't happenin' unless I hit the lottery! LOL
