I was reluctant to drill any holes, so I have a cheap battery LED that sticks up with a magnet. Just remember to turn it off before you shut the door.

I'm with NOT drilling any holes and going with battery powered LED lights. There are even some that turn on with a end switch or motion.

The safe had a hole punched in the center lower back wall i drilled the smallest hole necessary through the fire board then one i ran the wire through i filled it with extreme temp silicon
