Bad Ass Rifle!!!!! I love it.
JTD
Fire formed 1 box of rounds yesterday, gonna go do the 2nd box today with any luck
123gr Hornady ELD over 46.9gr of IMR 4350 with Federal 215 primers, set @ 3.300.
I lost 1 piece of brass to my OAL gauge, about her for a display comparison & 2 due to split cases...less loss than I expected though
So far, I'm very impressed with this rifle! Low recoil, great accuracy
I wasn't real set on trying to sight in the newly added scope as I'm still fire forming, but happened to have a couple "soda" cans in the back of the old Ford, and since my primary purposes was a coyote hunt had my Lieca range finder....set cans @ 105 yds...3rd round was a tad high on the can, but blew it apart. Once I ran out of cans I moved to a knot in a fence post (don't worry, I'll replace it this spring since I know the rancher) and managed to put the last two shots within 1/2" of each other.

Are you using 25-06 brass?
JTD
No
Ordered almost-proper head stamp from quality cartridge....didn't want the kids putting 270 head stamp in the wrong spot...lol

Quality is $1.96/ea
RCC is 5.56/ea

I've got a ton of .270 brass that I may end up converting (since I no longer have a .270, was used I. This build)
What scope rings did you use? I tried to see by looking at the picture, but couldn’t tell.
JTD
Weaver I believe....I originally bought high rings, then decided they were too high so swapped for some medium rings with my casual-gun nut neighbor'
