    Useful training aids

I'll admit it...as a kid growing up in the country I took for granted just being able to go outside and shoot whenever I want. Now that I have a busy life in the city, I just don't make it to the range as often as I would like. So I bought an iTarget and I have got to say it is great fun. Only tried it on slow bullseye shooting so far, but I really enjoy that anyway. Anyone else have some favorite training aids?

iTarget group shot with a Smith & Wesson 66 slowfire offhand at 25 feet.

That's looks fun, I live in the country and shot anytime. But still think i'd enjoy this.

That's cool! I've thought about getting something like this for the winter time. Didn't know you could do it with revolvers.
I love my 66! Definitely a sweet firearm!

That’s pretty slick. I’ve always seen ads and stuff but have never heard or knew anyone who used it. Ads looked kinda cheesy

I like how it collects data. If it works it's like having a coach.

I like how the iTarget app has room to grow. The added a draw feature. You can set a timer and it will be and you draw and shoot and it will give you feed back on how fast your time on target is. They plan to add multiple targets (though they will he small and close together) and it will call out a target and you shoot that target. So that covers transitions.

Only downside is I find the laser bullet isn't the most accurate and can have a different impact point that actual rounds. My XDs 45 the extractor will contact the laser bullet and it causes the gun to.shoot hard right. I've been meaning to.dremel it smaller but haven't yet.

Overall it certainly spices up dry fire practice.

One of the laser bullets I have is in 38 Special, and I've noticed from live ammo that the cylinder chambers in my Rugers are not quite as snug as in my Smith and Wesson's. My two Rugers have fixed sights and I know they're dead on with live rounds, but they are definitely off with the laser, and I really think there's just enough play in the chamber to cause it.
